You probably have seen the phrase or title “Top Ten Search Engines Listing Guaranteed” for an SEO service or ad.

Not only that, the price seemed astronomically low like a couple hundred of dollars. Can it really be achieved?

Why do most big SEO companies charge hundreds of dollars a month or one time fees exceeding thousands of dollars and suddenly some upstart SEO firm comes up with an ad that blew you away in terms of pricing?

You probably are not aware but such pricing means your website is optimized for keywords no one is looking for at all. Heart wrenching?

Look out for the following when engaging SEO services:-

• does the company update you of their progress? Communication is key.
• do they promise you instant results? Top ten search engines listing usually take months.
• do they see your website first? All SEO firms should to ensure if they can do it.
• do they use off site pages? Once the promised time is up, so are the listings.
• do they use hidden text?
• do they start cloning or cloaking your website?

If any of the above occurs, you probably have been tricked with parting your money for such mediocre services. In the end, you get what you pay for.
