Never Use Hidden Text On Your Website
In the past, some sneaky webmasters will use hidden text on their websites by using CSS to position text behind an element or off the page or by creating small pixel images of size 1×1 and having alt tags using their chosen keywords.
You risk getting banned by the search engines if you resort to such tactics. Instead you should blend your keywords within your content and you still can command some great links.
Think about it. Why would anyone else want to link to you since you are not professional in the way you do stuff.
You should focus on the structure of your web pages and place your keywords in your title, Meta description, heading, subheadings and in your body content.
Still, there are those who use this method as not all search engines can track this well.
What you can do is to report those websites you find using these techniques for spam especially those that compete directly with you.
It does not pay really to use hidden text on your website.
