Give and you shall receive. Perhaps you’ve heard that often enough.

And that is how designers secretly build their links. They gave away as much as they can.

Do you notice why there are free Wordpress themes and plugins and not counting stuff from Mediawiki, Joomla, Drupal, Pligg and many others.

Programmers do it too.

They give out cool gadgets or widgets they coded, made Firefox plugins, Facebook applications, even iPhone applications and free giveaway softwares…

So in order to get backlinks back to their websites, they simply built one of these tools to giveaway enmasse and secretly build their links.

Not anything bad though as most of these stuff help the general user but if you are into building boatloads of backlinks and you can design or program, get to work!

If you no zilch about designing or programming, hire someone who can and make sure the links are going back to your website.
